La directriz de VISA INTERNACIONAL para sus oficinas principales alrededor del mundo era que cada una reflejara algo del “heimat” del lugar. Luego de una pequeña investigación, acordamos que hay dos aspectos con los cuales el venezolano se identifica con mayor frecuencia: el arte cinético y lo “verde” del país. Entonces, ubicamos un “muro” curvo en el centro de la planta rectangular para dividirla en dos sectores: el área operativa a la cual se accede por los extremos del muro y el área pública, dispuesta a lo largo del pasillo de circulación del edificio. Sobre esta última, el muro se presenta como una pared vegetal cóncava, verde, de 16 mts de largo que abraza al visitante al llegar. En el área operativa, realizamos un diseño para la alfombra inspirado en los pasos de peatones que realizó el artista Carlos Cruz Diez en Caracas en los años '70 y ’90, pero utilizando los colores de la marca VISA en su composición.

VISA INTERNATIONAL's guideline for its main offices around the world was that each one should reflect something of the “heimat” of the place. After a little research, we agreed that there are two aspects with which Venezuelans identifies themselves more frequently: kinetic art and the "green" of the country. So, we placed a curved “wall” in the center of the rectangular plan to divide it into two sectors: the operational area, which is accessed through the ends of the wall, and the public area, arranged along the building's circulation corridor. On the latter, the wall is presented as a concave green wall of vegetation, 16 meters long that embraces the visitor upon arrival. For the carpet in the operational area, we got inspiration from the pedestrian crossings made by the artist Carlos Cruz Diez in Caracas in the '70s and '90s, but using the colors of the VISA brand in its composition.
